23 Funny Elf on the Shelf Ideas

You’ve all heard of Elf on the Shelf and this year, we’ve decided to get in on the act! So, meet the newest member of the Party Delights team, Eddie the Elf! He’s super excited about Christmas and as you can see, he’s been causing all sorts of mischief around the office.

1. Making the tea

Like every other office in the country, we’re partial to a brew every now and then. Eddie kindly volunteered to get a round in, but as you can see, things didn’t quite go according to plan. Looks like someone’s been in the sugar bowl!

2. Being part of the family

Eddie really loves feeling like part of the family. Sadly, he also loves being extremely mischievous, so as well as joining this lovely family photo, he couldn’t resist adding his own silly doodles.

3. Caught in the act

With Christmas coming up, we put out a nice box of chocolates for everyone in the office to share. The next day, the box was empty, but we couldn’t find anyone who’d eaten any. Then we found Eddie, and it quickly became obvious what had happened!

4. Drawing on the walls

Covering the office in graffiti is neither big nor clever. Try telling that to our naughty Elf on the Shelf though – Eddie thinks he’s the next Banksy!

5. Holding this adorable penguin to ransom

Stop, or the penguin gets it! Earlier this week, Eddie decided he didn’t want to wait until Christmas Day for his presents, so he took matters into his own hands.

Don’t worry, we sorted it! Percy the penguin is fine and Eddie appreciates that taking hostages and writing ransom notes isn’t an appropriate way to get more presents.

6. Enjoying some milk and cookies

It’s Christmas, so everyone deserves a treat or two. Even Eddie, who hasn’t exactly been on his best behaviour. It’s hard to stay mad at him, so here he is enjoying a nice glass of milk and some chocolate chip cookies.

7. Organising his own Sports Day

We all remember the classic sack race from our school Sports Day. Eddie has decided to recreate it here, and it looks like his opponent has had a bit of an accident. We’re sure Eddie had nothing to do with it, of course!

8. Taking a selfie

No Christmas party is complete without a few selfies. Or should we say ‘Elf on a Shelfies’? Anyway, here’s Eddie getting Insta ready with… hold on, who’s this? Got something to tell us, Eddie?

9. Playing poker

It was poker night round at Eddie’s last week, and he invited some of closest friends over for a game. Funny, our invite must have got lost in the post!

From the look of that pile of chocolate coins, it looks as though Eddie might have a new favourite game.

10. Making snow angels

Is it even Christmas if you haven’t made a snow angel yet? Eddie doesn’t think so. He knows just like the rest of us that when you see a pile of snow, there’s only one thing to do!

11. Playing golf

Fore! Eddie’s golf skills leave a little to be desired, but that might have something to do with the fact that he doesn’t own any golf clubs. Luckily, he’s very resourceful, so he decided just to use a candy cane and some sweets instead!

12. Special Delivery

Did anyone order an Elf on the Shelf? Eddie was pretty relieved to arrive at his destination safely, we can tell you. He told us there wasn’t much room on his flight, although of course he did get to travel first class!

13. Unwrapping presents

Christmas is a time for family and friends, but if we’re being honest, it’s also about unwrapping loads of sweet presents! Here’s Eddie opening some of his. Who knows what Santa will bring you – it could even be your very own Elf on the Shelf!

14. Playing Twister

Eddie loves a good party game, and they don’t come much more popular than Twister. Sadly, Eddie looks like he might be about to lose here, but we’re sure he’ll be a good sport about it.

15. Having a snowball fight

Are you dreaming of a white Christmas? Judging by this fun snowball fight, Eddie’s certainly enjoying his. We just hope he’s playing nicely!

16. Catching some rays

It might be the middle of winter, but Eddie never misses a chance to relax for a while in the sun. Remember kids, always use sunscreen!

17. Dining Italiano

Who doesn’t love going out for a nice meal? Here’s Eddie dining at his favourite Italian restaurant. Of course, if you look closely, you’ll see that instead of spaghetti, Eddie’s ordered a bowl of his favourite festive sweets!

18. Doodling

Eddie’s found some felt tips and got straight to work showing off his art skills. We really hope that’s not someone else’s notebook…

19. Playing on the swings

Isn’t this an adorable Christmas scene? Eddie loves the swing we’ve built him – he’s spent hours flying around the garden! He’s so excited about Christmas, this is the perfect way to use up some of his festive energy.

20. Counting the days to Christmas

For most of us, counting the days to Christmas is super exciting! Of course, for an Elf on the Shelf, it’s basically a countdown to their busiest working day of the year. Still, Eddie seems like he’s looking forward to it – what Christmas games do you think he’ll be playing?

21. Opening his advent calendar

One of the best ways to count down the days to Christmas is by starting each day in December with a cheeky little chocolate. Eddie doesn’t need asking twice! Here he is opening his advent calendar, and we’re pretty sure he’s skipped ahead a few days.

22. Reading a Christmas story

At the end of a long, hard day, sometimes there’s nothing better than a nice story before bed. Eddie’s showing off his generous side here by reading a traditional Christmas tale to some of his friends. What’s your favourite festive read?

23. Leaving for the North Pole

Like any good elf, Eddie needs to head back to Santa’s workshop in time to get all the toys ready and tell Santa which children have been naughty and nice this year.
As we all know, flights can be pretty expensive around the festive season, so he decided to build himself a hot air balloon instead.
